This project is capturing videos of children and families as they present to an emergency department with childhood illness. All the people filmed have consented to be videoed and for the resulting videos to be used to inform parents and professionals about childhood illness and the ASK SNIFF work. These videos will form the basis for visual learning materials for families and carers and learning tools for health care professionals. They will form an essential component of our safety netting tool as videos show children’s symptoms in real life rather than through words or diagrams. They may also be used to communicate the importance of the ASK SNIFF safety netting project more widely
