These pages present stories that parents and clinicians have shared with us about their experience of safety netting or its absence. They demonstrate how important safety netting is to support families as they care for their children at home. Some of the stories demonstrate best practice whilst others illustrate some of the difficulties parents and clinicians face when safety netting isn’t perfect. Every encounter with a health care professional provides an opportunity for sharing knowledge about childhood illness, signs and symptoms, when to worry and what to do. These experiences continue to provide inspiration for our work. We will also be posting relevant news stories here and blogs on safety netting topics as our work goes forward.
